Projects:
Simulation of Anisotropic Colloidal Systems
Research Area: Condensed Matter Physics; Tools used: C/C++, Matlab. Details: Experimentalists continue to increase the library of nano and colloidal particles available for self-assembling systems. While holding great promise, determination of what particles to focus on and how to tune their relevant parameters to form useful structures and/or phases remains a stumbling block. In this regard, simulation can direct experimentalists to systems holding the greatest potential for practical applications.
Hierarchical Self-Assembly
Research Area: Condensed Matter Physics, Biophysics; Tools used: C/C++, LAMMPS Details: Determination of the principles by which hierarchical systems arise, particularly in a biological setting.
Glotzilla : A Molecular Simulation Library
Research Area: Condensed and Soft Matter Physics; Tools used: C/C++, LAMMPS Details: Along with the rest of the Glotzilla team, I have worked to build a soft-matter simulation application programming interface (API). My specific contributions include rigid body integration and particle design, LAMMPS integration, code parallelization with Open MPI and openMP.
